This is great with lamb, chicken etc. A copy of the sauce you get on kebabs.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 mls Greek yoghurt
- 1 to 2 cloves of garlic – microplane / grated – needs to be extremely fine.
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt & Pepper
- Sugar to taste (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Mix the first 3 ingredients together, start with 1 garlic clove and add more if needed. Too much garlic and everyone will know about it.
- Season with salt, pepper and sugar to taste.
- Better to make this the day before so the flavours can blend but perfectly fine to use straight away.
- I find the sauce can be a little thick so I will add some water to get a better consistency, this is dependant on the yoghurt used.
NOTE: It has to be fresh garlic, jar, dried or powder will not work in replacement.
TIP: Place the whole peeled garlic clove in a cup of boiling water for about a 1 – 2 mins then drain, this will help remove the harshness of the raw garlic
